Mount Whiteface & Passaconaway.

Join us for a winter hike of Whiteface and Passaconaway on Janaury 3rd. Overnight lodging provided the night of the 2nd. This hike will begin at 6am under headlamp, will cover over 11 miles, and gain nearly 4,000ft of elevation. Proper winter gear is required for this hike (rated difficult). Mt. Liberty & Flume

On February 21st at 8am, we will aim for Mt Flume! This is another difficult winter hike spanning over 10 miles and 3,200ft in elevation. Depending on time, weather, and the group, we will attempt to push on to Liberty. This will add another 2 miles. For more info and reserve a spot on the hike, click the link below. (10 spots).

First Responders Hike: Carrigain

Calling all veterans in first responder fields!! On March 14th we will be heading up Mt. Carrigain. This hike is very difficult and will cover 14 miles and over 4,000ft in elevation. We aim to start around 5am on the 14th so overnight lodging will be provided at the Aurora near by. Proper winter gear is required to join. Awards Night

VOT48 will have a booth at the 2026 4,000 footers club awards night on April 18th. Come say hi, meet some of the crew, and if you're a veteran who completed the NH48, come get your patch!

Mt. Waternomee

Join us on Saturday, March 23rd, at 8am for our annual Memorial Day Weekend hike up to the B18 bomber crash site. Members will carry new American flags to replace the old and tattered flags on the summit to prep the site for Memorial Day. This hike is easy/moderate and covers 4.5 miles and 1,500ft of elevation. Field & Avalon

Come enjoy a hike, dinner and a night's stay at the AMC Highland Center on June 6th with VOT48 as we commemorate D-DAY with a hike up Avalon and Field (9am start). This is a moderate hike that covers 5.5 miles and 4,400 ft of elevation. Depending on the time, weather, and group, a push to include Mt. Tom may occur. Members will depart after breakfast on Sunday. Adventure Series Hike: Home Base

VOT48 and the Home Base Program are proud to continue their partnership in 2026 by taking 10 Home Base veterans on an overnight hike to Carter Notch Hut. Upon arrival, members will have the options to summit Wildcat Mountain or Carter Dome (or both), or just lounge at the hut and enjoy the wilderness. Flags on the 48

Saturday, September 12th will be the 2026 Flags on the 48 9-11 memorial hike. Our peak will not be selected until early August. Sign-ups will be posted in August as well.

Veterans Day: Mt. Isolation
