Come celebrate the 250th Army Birthday and Flag Day on the summit of Mt. Washington with VOT48 and The Summit Project. This 2-day event is open to all branches of service and will take place on June 13th and 14th with overnight accommodations provided at the AMC Highland Center the night of the 13th (dinner included). We will be ascending via the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail and descending the Jewell Trail. This hike is just under 10 miles long and gains around 4,000ft in elevation. **This is a difficult hike and not for beginners**. Â (9/12 spots available).
Join VOT48 on Saturday, May 24th at 8am for our annual Memorial Day Weekend hike up Mt. Waternomee. This hike honors the events that transpired on January 14, 1942, when a B-18 bomber crashed into the slopes of Mount Waternomee in Woodstock, New Hampshire, after encountering bad weather during a return flight from an anti-submarine patrol, resulting in the deaths of two crew members and injuries to the other five. Join us on Sunday, May 24th, for an evening at Fenway Park courtesy of the Home Base Program. EVENT FULL.
Join VOT48 and the VFW on May 31st and June 1st for a 2 day event involving a Map & Compass class, overnight stay at the AMC Highland Center with dinner and breakfast provided, and a day hike of Mount Willard. This event is open to all veterans whether a member of the VFW or not and is great for all experience levels, especially those just getting into hiking. Hike is FullÂ
Register for the 2025 Run to Home Base and join team "Veterans on the 48" as we gather at Fenway Park on Saturday, July, 26th to raise money and awareness for the Home Base Program and their mission to care for veterans and service members struggling with PTSD and TBI.
Join Home Base and Veterans on the 48 as we take on Mt. Cannon together on July 12th and 13th. This is a 2-day event with an overnight stay at the AMC Lonesome Lake Hut. On Saturday, June 21tst and Sunday, June 22nd (if needed) at 8am, we will be conducting trail work on Tecumseh Trail via Tripoli Road. Anyone interested in volunteering for the day please click the link below
